Very few and not significant for a car that's been in use for 15 years. Belt issues, the brakes wore out around 120,000 kilometers, and the bumpers aren't the best quality. I had to replace the rear bumper after being rear-ended (it was still a minor collision, but the bumper cracked). Minor rust issues on the front and rear doors, but that's common when living in a humid climate.

The Demio is the best-driving small hatchback in its class, and it looks great doing it. If you want something that feels alive behind the wheel and sips fuel quietly, it's hard to beat. Just go in knowing the interior won't match the promise of the exterior, and budget a little extra for what is a premium-branded small car. Models from 2015 onward offer the best mix of modern engineering, safety, and driving enjoyment.
